In the Heart of Ljubljana

Located at Trubarjeva 31a, our apartments are nestled in the heart of Ljubljana, just a short walk from the city's main attractions. Enjoy easy access to Prešeren Square, the Dragon Bridge, and Ljubljana Castle, all within minutes.

A Walkable Address in Ljubljana's Old Town

Trubarjeva 31a sits on Trubarjeva cesta, one of Ljubljana's most characterful pedestrian streets, named after Primož Trubar — the 16th-century reformer who wrote the first book in the Slovenian language. The street runs from the Dragon Bridge up to the Tabor district and is lined with independent cafés, bakeries, second-hand bookshops, and small boutiques. Stepping out of the courtyard gate, you are already inside the historic city centre; the entire Old Town (Staro Mesto) unfolds within a 10-minute walk.

The famous Dragon Bridge (Zmajski most) is just 50 metres from the front door — close enough that the four guardian dragons are visible from the end of the street. From there it is a 2-minute walk along the Ljubljanica river to the Central Market (Plečnik's covered market and open-air stalls), 250 metres away, where local farmers sell cheese, honey, charcuterie, and seasonal produce six mornings a week. The funicular up to Ljubljana Castle is 290 metres from the apartment, with the cabin running every 10 minutes from 9:00 to 22:00 in summer.

Continue across the Triple Bridge (Tromostovje, 380 metres) and you reach Prešeren Square — Ljubljana's social heart, with the pink Franciscan Church, the statue of poet France Prešeren, and the start of the pedestrian Čopova street toward Tivoli Park. Other landmarks within easy reach on foot include the Cathedral of St. Nicholas (300 m), the Cobblers' Bridge (Čevljarski most) (450 m), Congress Square (650 m), and the open-air National Gallery and Museum of Modern Art on the edge of Tivoli (about 1.2 km, a 15-minute walk).

The neighbourhood is genuinely 24-hour livable. A Spar supermarket is 5 minutes away on Poljanski nasip, a Hofer (Aldi) 7 minutes, and a pharmacy on Prešernov trg is open weekdays 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM. Restaurants on Trubarjeva itself range from family-run Slovenian places to vegan bakeries and craft-beer bars; the riverfront 100 metres away has dozens more terraces in summer. The main train and bus station is a flat 10-minute walk (750 m), making the apartment ideal for car-free travel — direct trains to Bled, Maribor, Vienna, and Zagreb leave from there, and the GoOpti and airport shuttle buses to Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (25 km) stop right outside.

The Old Town itself is almost entirely pedestrianised: no cars cross the Triple Bridge, the Ljubljanica embankments, or most of the surrounding streets, so the area is exceptionally quiet at night despite being in the centre. For day trips, Lake Bled is 55 km away (45 min by car or 50 min by direct train), Postojna Cave 55 km, the Soča Valley 110 km, and Piran on the Adriatic coast 120 km — all comfortable as same-day returns from Trubarjeva.
